Invista is working with India’s Exim Knits to develop fabrics with Lycra fibre that possess the dual qualities of excellent recovery and enhanced elongation. Exim Knits Pvt. Ltd., which has stste of the art production facilities, is a manufacturer and exporter of knit, woven and organic cotton products which was established in India 21 years ago.

Combining Invista’s technological expertise and Exim Knits’ state-of-the-art facilities, the customer-centric fabric innovation is said to cater to all apparel industry segments. The single jersey-knitted fabric comprises of a blend of cotton, or cotton synthetics, and Lycra fibre.

The fabric innovation aims to deliver three key attributes that Invista says are most important to consumers—freedom of movement, comfort and durability. These fabrics meet stringent Lycra fibre certification standards, adding an advantage for garment manufacturers, brands and retailers who also benefit from featuring the free Lycra fibre hang tag with each of their garments.
