Creora by Hyosung, the world’s largest spandex/elastane producer will present a collection of new fabrics highlighting its 2014 trends for the Swimwear market at next weekend’s Interfilière/Paris Mode City.

Featured mills include Sofileta (stand V23) and Sitip (stand: S34/T35) with creora highclo fabrics for longer lasting fit from superior chlorine resistance. The 2014 Trends showcase the swim collection of creora elastanes across four key stories.

Aquasonic

High performance swimwear fabrics mimic the hydrodynamics of marine mammals in delivering compact and precise chlorine resistant, lightweight, and quick dry swimwear fabrics. Key functions include reduced drag and the ability to accelerate speed aided with creora highclo H-350S.  Nano-technology hydrophobic finishes creates water resistant fabrics.

Surfaces are compact and smooth, matte and dull in touch enhanced through great graphics applied with printing techniques. High performance also features in more fashion led fitness swimwear, in one and two pieces that deliver the desired performance plus support.

Garments: Competitive, fitness & triathlon swimwear. Aqua, gym, aero, underwater spinning with a strong signature for sport styling.

Themes: Glide – Strength – Compact – Brilliance – Speed – Support - Fun

Exotica

The allure of nature makes it move towards an exotic theme for swimwear as unique and vivacious colour ways and print inspirations are pulled from natural sources. Solid colours are inspired, enhanced through textural effects either through jacquard effects or through polyurethane printing to create optical texture. The touch of the swimwear fabrics is predominantly soft and velvety to touch, with a matte finish, mimicking the aspects of downy orchid leaves.

Traditional inspiration of florals, and fauna, and reptiles but reworked, injected with new colour ways and textures too.  The effect can be kept simple through to overworked patchwork effects, natural touch and sueded aspects. Textures are key as is fabric manipulation. Recycled synthetics, cotton touch, natural touch, dry and raw hands all feature in keeping with the natural inspiration, which when teamed with creora dyeable H-550 continues a sustainable spirit.

Garments:  Funky & vibrant for younger market. Shaping swimwear in solids or prints for the fashion-conscious mature consumer

Themes: Feminine – Florals – Natural – Texture – Vibrancy – Velvet Touch - Sharp

Kicking

Acidic tones to abstract graphics inject a lively spirit into swimwear. This direction isn’t for a shrinking violet, it is for those who want to make a statement and have fun poolside.  Sharp and funky, there’s a vibrancy that runs through this group inspired by quirky pop stars Niky Minaj and Katy Perry thought to Tokyo’s Harjuku girls. From the brilliance of synthetics to the cotton-touch of purity derived from synthetics these all marry with creora® highclo™ H-350S in creating feel good swimwear that oozes fun.

Textures feature from precise and compact to irregular blister effects.  Shaping aspects features as some elements of this direction can be delivered for the mainstream market were shaping is considered the norm.

Garments: Young high fashion swimwear - funky swim beachwear for girls and boys

Themes: Fun – Fantasy – Freedom – Rebel – Sharp – Frilly – Kitsch – Mix and Match

Demure

Classic and streamlined, fabrics in Demure offer a sophisticated approach to swimwear. Part Geisha inspired through to a funky gothic element for an edgier look, overall it is a strong sophisticated style that features in a controlled manner. High compression warp knits with creora® highclo™ H-350S feature for the shaping aspect of this group as well as the high chlorine resistance.

The mood is very feminine with a conservative style as sublimation and digital prints recreate the delicacy of cherry blossom on dull paper touch surfaces. In contrast lacquered looks and paper touch featherweight circular knits feature with large floral prints, ruched in garment applications in keeping with a retro mood.

Garments: Strong body shaping poolside swimwear. Edgier & elegant lightweight shaping
