A key feature of the new MAX digital printing technology being introduced by Kornit, headquartered in Rosh Ha’ayin, Israel, is XDi, which delivers 3D capabilities for new, high-density graphic decoration that can simulate embroidery, vinyl, and heat transfer in a single, waste-free digital process.
MAX technology works with multiple fabric types and aims to expand the reach of digital on-demand textile production into mainstream fashion and apparel.
Now commercially available, the Kornit Atlas MAX, is an industrial-scale direct-to-garment production system, said to provide exceptional quality and colour-matching capabilities with a wide and vivid colour gamut. It is delivered with the new XDi technology built in, for 3D printing capabilities. An upgrade to the Kornit Atlas systems will be available during the first quarter of 2022.
Kornit’s ActiveLoad Automation technology, meanwhile, is a new robotic system which can significantly ease the burden of manual and labour-intensive media handling in the textile decoration industry. Automation technology ensures continuous production and consistency, while decreasing human error and fatigue, regardless of employee experience and training, the company says.
“Kornit’s new MAX capabilities bring sustainable on-demand production to the mainstream,” said Omer Kulka, Kornit Digital CMO. “We plan to roll it out to additional market segments such as team sports, athleisure, diverse categories of fashion, and home décor applications.
“There’s a growing realization and acceptance that on-demand production is the answer to meeting the demands of today’s consumer,” added Ronen Samuel, Kornit Digital CEO.
