Brugnoli, an established Italian producer of stretch knit jersey for swimwear, lingerie, fashion, sports and athleisure, has launched its ExtraJacquard fabric range at Interfilière Paris last month, also presenting the company’s new fabrics in its eco-sustainable ranges, including the bio-based products from its Br4 line.
“We aimed to create a collection with a strong focus on our values and know-how,” said Massimiliano Denna, CEO of Brugnoli. “We are proud to present ExtraJacquard in occasion of one of our favourite exhibitions, Interfilière in Paris, where plenty of proposals will be available for swimwear, sports/ athleisure and lingerie.”
The new range of finer knits and more toned colours, customisable on demand, is said to represent a “jacquard revolution”, according to the company, and is based on its known Explosive Technology, which combines extra-fine knitting and advanced colour work to boost the quality and appeal of a jacquard fabric with an impressive colour definition.
The technology, launched in 2008, has been chosen by leading brands for their swimwear and sportswear collections over the years. It aims to ensure increased levels of long-lasting fit, coverage and freedom of movement, together with resistance to chlorine, sunscreen, oil and heat. Fabrics made with Explosive Technology is also said to offer compression and muscular support for high intensity activities, guaranteed by the double certificate Lycra Xtra Life and Lycra Sport.
The family-based company has been producing premium circular knit fabrics for swimwear, lingerie, sportswear and clothing for more than 60 years. The company’s Full Shades personalisation service offers custom made colours on demand to ensure that customers have a vivid and extensive range of options.
