Italian socks knitting machine builder Busi Giovanni has introduced the new Busi 500 machine for knitting heavy socks.

“We are excited to introduce the Busi 500, one of five models in our premium Gold line, specifically designed for knitting heavy socks with a diameter of 5 inches,” says the company’s Technical Director, Leonardo Busi.

“This advanced machine boasts unique capabilities, allowing you to knit both true rib and terry patterns within the same sock. Additionally, it can be outfitted with the Rimaglio device for seamless automatic toe-closing, enhancing efficiency in your production process.”

With a needle range from 52 to 112, the Busi 500 can produce intricate patterns with up to four colours per course, in addition to the base colour.

The sock above is knitted from wool using the 84-needle version. It showcases a two-colour jacquard design on a 1x1 rib structure. “This is just a glimpse of the diverse range of socks you can create with the Busi 500,” Mr Busi concludes.

“If you're interested in exploring the textile possibilities this model offers, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would be delighted to assist you.”
