Soft wool/silk qualities in Grey, Green and Brown colours accentuated by Terracotta, Sage and various berry tones emphasise this topic. The patterns reflect the trends in the men‘s outerwear, i.e. with colour and dip-dye contrasts, micro-jacquard and structures reminding of tie designs. Ascot

Polo, Hockey and Lacrosse: Ascot is inspired by traditional team and campus sports. The lively contrasts between decent Ice Blue, Cranberry and Bottle Green as well as lucid Pink, Lime and Orange attach special vividness to the design. Block hoops and figure motifs are a reminiscent of typical College tricot details. Patterns such as Birdeye, sportive hoops and stripes as well as different polo elements complement the range.

Country Weekend

Country Weekend comes rural and rustic with socks and stockings made of finest wool and soft cashmere. This range encompasses folkloristic cuffs, tartan chequers and Argyles, as well as block hoops and warm felt slippers. Particular highlights of this topic are socks made of winter wool adorned with a subtle tassel. Brown and Camel shades, Loden Green and Grey as well as Marine, Rust and Sand emphasise the hibernal colour range.

Rock Royal

Magnificent, glamorous and extravagant - the synonym for Rock Royal. Adorning details such as crystal stars, frilled elements and galloon stripes made of golden and silver Lurex set elegant accents to socks in royal Black and Red. The ideal accessory to perfectly complement elegant tuxedos for festive events.

Sensitives

The Sensitives in decent patterns will be provided at both delivery dates. Two wool articles in the business and two cotton articles in the casual range will be available in July and October.

The Falke Group

he FALKE GROUP is an international clothing and lifestyle company which is headquartered in the Sauerland town of Schmallenberg. Founded in 1895, this family business is now managed by the 4th generation. The managing partners are Franz-Peter and Paul Falke, the great-grandsons of company founder Franz Falke-Rohen.

In the 111th year of its existence the FALKE GROUP again successfully defended its position as the market leader, lifting sales by + € 12.8 million over the year before to a new total of € 186.3 million. This equates to an increase of +7.4 % (previous year +6.7 %).

In contrast to many German textile and clothing companies, the FALKE GROUP employs a high proportion of its workforce in Germany. Out of a total of 2,431 employees (up by 6.8 % over 2005), some 1,237 work in Germany and 1,194 at FALKE production plants located abroad. Despite the increasingly international orientation of the FALKE GROUP, 50.9 % of its staff are still employed in the Group’s home country.

FALKE – aesthetics and innovation

The FALKE brand and its products are an integral part of the fashion market. FALKE manufactures modern clothing accessories which do justice to the consumers’ lifestyle, their entirely personal culture and their demands.

However, FALKE products are not only aesthetically pleasing; they are also the result of an innovative process. Fashionable clothing from high-grade materials, processed with perfect craftsmanship, which is characterised by its highly innovative nature and its functionality. A functionality which has resulted from extensive technological commitment to research and development, and the knowledge acquired from many years of experience.

FALKE realised at a very early stage that the reconciliation of function and fashion would be one of the primary developments in the coming decade. FALKE’s philosophy here is to create intelligent products which support human activity and needs while producing a positive feeling for the body. All these principles together characterise the FALKE style, which is the basis of the overall brand policy and all the FALKE activities.

Brand communication

An unmistakable image which reflects the typical FALKE style is integral to the FALKE brand strategy. The world of FALKE has been brought alive par excellence at the new flagship store which opened in Berlin in April 2006. The store located directly on the Kurfürstendamm not only provides a whole new insight into fashion accessories. It also claims to be one of the “best designed flagship stores” worldwide (book title, published by avedition Verlag). The successful shop-in-shop concept, another important element in the premium brand image that typifies Falke, has also been consistently developed. By the end of 2006 FALKE had a worldwide presence comprising 179 shop-in-shops (127 national and 52 international).

International brand strategy

The globalisation of the FALKE brand is accorded the highest strategic priority. The proportion of turnover accounted for by international sales rose to 39 % in 2006. The positive development as an international brand has not only been supported by opening more shops abroad, but also by expanding the sales organisations in Europe and America.

The most important markets are the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Great Britain and France. And the company is happy to report additional growth in other European countries as well.
