On July 27, 2008 the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 commences in Shanghai - and that is exactly, to the day, 135 years after the founding date of Stoll. "135 years of Stoll" stands for pioneering flat knitting machine technique, innovative software solutions and many extra services.

At the ITMA ASIA, Stoll presents a large number of highly productive flat knitting machines as a representative cross section of the CMS program, different software applications, and a brand new pattern collection developed especially for the trade fair.

In addition to flexibility and reliability, the productivity of a knitting machine matters

Therefore, at Stoll, we constantly work on a further improvement of the machine production. First approaches to this will already be presented at the upcoming fair. One of Stoll's focuses at the trade fair will be in the Stoll-multi gauges® segment. The extraordinary flexibility of the Stoll Multi Gauge machines is documented by exemplary fabrics. In the process, various gauges and sophisticated pattern effects will be realized using one and the same machine with Stoll-multi gauges® - in one and the same fabric or with fabrics in various gauges. At Stoll we are constantly investigating ways to expand the spectrum of uses of the Stoll machines even further.

Complete articles will be also another major topic in Shanghai

For the production of fine complete articles - also in large sizes - a new machine will be presented: the new "specialist" for complete articles possesses the remarkable working width of 86"/218 cm. New pattern possibilities impressively demonstrate the economic efficiency of the complete article production with Stoll-knit and wear®.

Another top topic of the trade fair for Stoll will be the machine accessories

From the beginning Stoll has offered practical accessories for many operational areas and machine applications to the customers. For example in the area of intarsia knitting, Stoll offers optimized intarsia yarn carriers (optional) for almost all models or gauges of the CMS machine program. Their especially compact design enables an even closer yarn carrier staggering on a yarn carrier rail - resulting in even more colours within a given fabric width.

Another user-oriented solution

For the plating inserts frequently required today, Stoll has developed a new plating kit with a special holder and new yarn carriers that are even easier to adjust for the use of a broad range of yarns and applications. The large number of components of the Stoll Software Solutions, which were developed even further, will stand for simpler, more effective and more economical pattern creation and knitting processes.

The refined Pattern Software M1plus® offers even more functions and influencing options for the programmer – also with all functions for Stoll-knit and wear® as standard equipment. This way all features of the new M1plus® can also be used for the programming of Knit & Wear articles. A wide variety of automatic functions supports the programmer and relieves the programmer of the programming of standard processes.

However, now additional functions also enable the easy realization of individual knitting techniques. Operation has also been further simplified with revised menus and operating elements. The exclusive cooperation with Eneas in flat knitting enables more options for the shape generation, the design as well as the simulation and presentation of pattern programs to the users. Connectivity stands for the networking of the Stoll machines which, for example, makes it possible in conjunction with the new KnitLAN technology to control the machines and to capture and manage operating and machine data centrally. The Stoll Machine Management Tools make the processes for all aspects of knitting more transparent and effective. The new Order Management Software enables, among other things, an automatic documentation and management of the knitting orders. The Stoll-knit report® 2 ensures precise monitoring and controlling of the machine pool, therefore offering a fast overview of the entire machine pool.

Finally, a new Stoll pattern collection featuring the latest trends is also being developed especially for the fair. New knitting techniques and applications in all common gauges using the latest trend yarns will again be presented in this collection.
