Asahi Kasei, a diversified Japan based manufacturer of fibres and chemicals, will present its latest fibre innovations by Cupro and ROICA at the upcoming Interfilière Lyon trade fair that takes place from 9-11 July.

The company is also celebrating the stretch brand ROICA's 10th year of innovation research in Europe and the ROICA business 45th year anniversary worldwide. Over this period, the company in Europe has developed and brought to market two options of ROICA – ROICA Eco Smart and ROICA Colour Perfect.

Both lines are designed to combine high performance with sustainable values and innovative colour match function. ROICA Colour Perfect was developed to offer a flawless, colour match-dyed finish, and an undetectable matte finish for all stretch materials. ROICA Eco-Smart is the more sustainable stretch material, designed for more responsible, eco-sensitive, fully certificated choices.

Innovations in Japanese market

The company has also developed a range of innovations specifically for its home Japanese market, where the company is also launching ROICA Eco Smart and ROICA Colour Perfect with the added benefit and guarantee of GRS certification.

Other products include a range of ROICA additional specialist ranges of custom designed functions to suit every modern wardrobe. These feature ROICA Contour, for helping achieve a dynamic shape, stretch and silhouette solution for calibrated control, softness and support, as well as ROICA Resistance, offering designed-in resistance for special applications against heat and flame retardancy, and chemical and chlorine resistance in swimwear.

Cupro fibre

Another highlight at the exhibition will be Cupro, a refined fibre made from recovered cotton waste materials and transformed into an exquisite material, the company reports. Gentle and soft, it is also said to deliver its slick, seductive and super-refined message through the wearer’s experience.

“Feel the sensational deluxe touch of the latest feather-fine jersey intimates from Jackytex, Nuovatess, and the new ultra-light voiles, crepe and crepon wovens from Infinity, Brunello and Gianni Crespi that use the new full matte version, microfibre counts and luxury spun yarns,” says the company.
