Asahi Kasei, a diversified Japan based manufacturer, is exhibiting its smart range of premium fibre brands at the Interfilière Paris, a leading international trade fair for intimates and swimwear, that takes place from 4-6 July in Paris.

The company will showcase two of its brands, including ROICA spandex, a premium stretch yarn with excellent stretch and recovery properties, and Cupro, a regenerated cellulose fibre derived from cotton.

The two ranges are said to provide ultimate comfort and functionality needed to create the modern wardrobe, from the intimate wear, hosiery, accessories and relaxed luxury loungewear, to tailored jackets, sensual jersey wear and high impact sportswear.

ROICA

The company presents ROICA, referred to as the most versatile and advanced premium stretch material available on the market. The fibre is said to offer great functionality and come in eco-friendly formats.

The latest styles to be launched at the Interfilière in Paris include two eco-responsible stretch innovations:

• ROICA eco-smart uses more than 50% pre-production industrial waste material in its manufacture. This eco-elastane is said to offer contemporary stretch to sustainable fashion collections.
• ROICA perfection is an eco-stretch polyester based elastane for intimate and shape wear with good heat setting, moulding, and dyeability properties, certified for the Environmental Compatibility by the Hohenstein Institute. It is said to require less energy, oil and water in manufacture and processing.

Other ROICA solutions

Other ROICA solutions that are available include ROICA colour perfect, a stretch solution for a quality aesthetic appearance available in pale or dark shades, including the latest cellulosic blends. It can be used in finishes for tapes, seamless, hosiery, lingerie and outerwear.

ROICA reflex is a refined stretch for seamless and hosiery, offering the great shape and size control, according to the manufacturer. Finally, ROICA soft response is said to offer unique calibrated, soft and durable control for hosiery,  casualwear,  intimates,  seamless,  sports,  maternity  wear  and  medical compression applications.

Other specialist functions include run resistant formats, super fine, no-curl styles for fine jerseywear, chlorine resistance for swimwear, a unique flame retardant stretch for uniform and interiors.

Cupro

Cupro is a unique refined fibre made from nature’s cellulosic waste materials and transformed into an exquisite material, the company reports. Gentle and soft, it is also said to deliver its slick, seductive and super-refined message through the wearer’s experience.

At Interfilière in July, visitors will be able to see the new collection of luxurious, fine woven fabrics in pure Cupro for lingerie and nightwear in satins, chambray, cotton-blends, voiles, georgettes and crepes, as well as jacquards and yarn dyed patterns.  Finishes  include  a  smooth  clear  lustrous  optic,  as  well  as  the  unique  angel-skin finish, the company reports.
