With just two months to go before the 2015 Cashmere World Forum takes place in Hong Kong from 7-9 October, organisers have developed a highly stimulating and informative programme for the industry delegates that will attend this year.
The connecting thread running through the whole Forum programme is the concept of lightness –as exemplified in the lightness and luxury of cashmere and other fine fibres.
Keynote speaker
The keynote speaker of the Forum this year will be Anthony Keung of the Fenix Group. His wide experience will be reflected in his role as Cashmere World Forum's keynote speaker.
He will speak about the background of his company, how it evolved from Manufacturing to Retail brands and how it adapted to economic changes by switching from the Japan market to European and US markets and then to China and Korea.
He will share his positive views on the prospects of the China market where he says their retail brands are still growing. He is still optimistic about the China retail market believing that the economic bubble in China is over and that the slowdown of the China market is a normal phenomenon, organisers report.
Topics
Other topics of interest will cover the following, as well as several other topics based around the central theme of lightness:
- Current supply and demand situation of cashmere and how its environmental impact could be lightened
- Cashmere World Colour Trends 2016/2017 so that we know what to expect
- Alpaca and the importance of its Quality Marks presented by the Executive Director of the International Alpaca Institute from Peru
Cashmere World Forum
The Cashmere World Forum is the leading informative event focusing specifically on cashmere and fine fibres, according to organisers.
It represents an opportunity for professionals in the supply chain, manufacturing and retail sectors to get up to speed with latest developments and most importantly network with experts from an international background.
