Fulgar, a leading Italian company in the manufacturing of nylon and coated yarns, presents SPACE 3.0, the company’s latest breakthrough in the creation of melange effects for use in fashion wear and sportswear.

The product is said to represent the highest level of excellence in melange, thanks to its exclusive All-in-One technology, the company reports. For the first time, this technology allows to weave together three threads, not just two, using a unique controlled and continuous one-step process.

Colour strength

Fulgar's new technology is said to allow customers to achieve a uniform melange yarn with three threads on a black or white base. With vivacious and brighter colours, this allows to choose between infinite colour combinations, enhanced during the dyeing stage.

This level of precision and definition for a melange can give the fabric a visual effect similar to that of printed fabric but with the performance offered by yarn.

SPACE 3.0 is designed to guarantee colour strength and give the fabric great levels of comfort and wearability. These are essential properties for all target sectors, the company reports. Melange-effect SPACE 3.0 can be utilised for making circular knitwear, hosiery and seamless clothing, as well as for the creation of sportswear and fashion wear.

New technology

Entirely designed and developed in Italy by Fulgar’s extensive internal R&D department, this new technology is available in two versions: SPACE 3.0 STANDARD, a yarn characterised by a short and regular melange section; and SPACE 3.0 PULSAR, a combination of SPACE and PULSAR technologies, giving rise to a longer, slub melange section.

The product features All-in-One technology for an exclusive three-thread weave, a uniform and continuous melange effect, an excellent strength and bright colours, and infinite colour combinations with extremely simple dyeing process, according to the manufacturer.
