Glenbrae, the leading UK based knitwear manufacturer, has announced a new partnership with The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), a prominent charity that seeks to provide financial, medical and development aid to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities.
The initial three-year partnership is set to provide support to a worthy and well-respected cause by offering supporters a bespokely created knitwear range. Glenbrae will use cutting-edge technology to embroider a Gurkha logo onto scarves and sweaters with donations of £5 and £20 made respectively for each crested garment sold.
This is the second such charitable partnership Glenbrae has announced in recent months, aligning the company’s values of community and commitment with high-quality products, the sales of which will help support the valuable work of the Trust.
New fundraising efforts
“We’re extremely proud to be able to support The Gurkha Welfare Trust in its work helping Gurkha veterans and their communities, both home and abroad,” commented Richard Brown, managing director at Glenbrae.
“We’ve worked with a number of charities to help them explore new fundraising efforts, and we look forward to using our expertise and experience to help them in their important work. This new partnership will help to give the GWT some of the recognition it deserves, and it’s an honour for us to be associated with this cause.”
Strong reputation
Carly Redwood, Corporate and Trust Fundraiser at the GWT, said: “Working with Glenbrae means a lot for our charity. The brand’s strong reputation for longstanding and valuable charitable partnerships makes this new relationship an exciting development for the Trust.”
“Forming an association with a company known for its exceptional quality products fits with the determination and dedication we bring to our work, and I look forward to seeing the success of this collaboration.”
For over 200 years, Gurkhas have served the United Kingdom, fighting alongside British soldiers in every major conflict. Through its specially designed commemorative garments, featuring the bespoke logo, Glenbrae is proud to recognise this dedication and service.
