China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics & Accessories, Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre, Shanghai, China, 20- 23 October 2008

More than 2,400 suppliers from 30 countries have confirmed their attendance at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics set for 20 - 23 October 2008 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai China. The show has blossomed to 10 halls with more than 115,000 sqm of trade space.

A highlight at the show will be four unique booths created by international chemical fibre makers to showcase the applications for their speciality products.

For example, rather than explaining how Lenzing's latest two products work, the Austrian company has invited 37 weaving mills that use the products to show the innovative fabrics they've created. Lenzing will highlight the launch of the Tencel and Lenzing Modal knitted and woven collections. By including weaving mills at the booth, Lenzing will help visitors to better understand these products and to source fabrics containing them more easily.

Lenzing will also feature the Promodal, Micromodal, Lenzing FR and viscose brands and will feature display entries to its worldwide Fabric Competition in its booth. Visitors can register at the booth to serve on the contest jury.

 Invista from USA will feature a booth with 35 mills that use its Coolmax, Lycra and Thermolite brands. Invista will also do product demonstrations in the new Lingerie & Swimwear Fabrics zone.

USA company Dow Fibers Solutions will showcase its XLA brand, the world's first olefin-based stretch fibre that is resistant to harsh chemicals and high heat. Visitors to Dow's booth will see the XLA application on denim products and other products from Dow's global mill partners. Dow will also present trend forecasting for autumn 2009 / winter 2010.

Hyosung from Korea together with nine mills will showcase its spandex brand Creora; nylon fibre line Mipan; and latent crimped yarn XANADU 55, a highly flexible and comfortable polyester.

Products arranged by end use for easy visitor navigation

Visitors looking for other products will have no trouble finding other places to look for products at the shop. For the first time, Chinese domestic halls will be organised by end use to help visitors find what they need. Zones and pavilions in the International halls will be set up for:

* Suppliers from Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Portugal, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey

* Lingerie and swimwear fabrics

* Accessories in Hall W4

* Finished garments from ASEAN countries as part of Source It.

 Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2008 also features trend forums for fabrics and accessories, three days of seminars and much more.

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT-Tex and the China Information Textile Centre.
