Israel based premium and specialty nylon fibre producer Nilit will launch its Spring/Summer 2018 Trendbook at the Interfilière/Mode City exhibition that is taking place from 9-11 July in Lyon.

The Trendbook, now in its sixteenth year, aims to serve as a tool for designers and merchandisers seeking the latest fabric, colour and style direction for intimate apparel, activewear, hosiery, swimwear and performance outerwear, key markets for the company’s high-quality nylon products.

The company will also feature its entire range of fashion and performance yarns at the show, with special focus on Nilit Breeze, the innovative cooling yarn, and Nilit Innergy, the sports performance and recovery enhancement yarn.

Emotions

The theme of the Spring/Summer 2018 edition is positive Emotions, a nod to the fact that brands today are increasingly connecting with customers in a deeper, more responsive way, giving them respite from the frenzied, hyper-connected world they live in, the company reports.

“We are excited to present our newest Nilit Trendbook. By identifying and bringing to life the key style trends for Spring/Summer 2018, we help our brand and retail partners address the needs of their increasingly sophisticated and demanding customers,” said Pierluigi Berardi, Global Marketing Director, Nilit Fibers.

“Today’s consumers expect more from their apparel than ever. Comfort, style and performance aren’t just nice to have, they have become the price of entry. We encourage anyone looking to make a stronger connection with their customers to visit our booth in Lyon to see our collection and to pick up a Trendbook.”

Themes and moods

Uplifting moods, ranging from Calm and Serene, which soothe our frenetic lifestyles and help us take us in a direction of wellbeing, to Euphoria and Free, allowing a sense of liberation and escapism, to Joy and Bliss, encouraging fun-tinged luxury, wind their way throughout the book.

“Consumers today are demanding enhanced experiences in all aspects of their lives,” said Amy Holzer, Marketing Communication Manager at Nilit Fibers.

“Whether it be the sensual touch in featherweight structures or the high performance functionality of performance yarns in enhancing the exhilarating feeling of achieving a personal goal in activewear, they want to engage in a more emotional way with what they’re buying and wearing. Customers are looking to brands to not only fill a basic need, but also to enhance their lives.”
