The new Piave Maitex proposals for Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 will be exhibited at the Interfilière Paris show that will be taking place from 5-7 July, and will include a wide selection of new fashion and high-tech fabrics, the collection of printed lingerie and a preview of the brand’s beachwear collection for 2017.

New plain fabrics

Body One bands are essentially created for the female body, structured and designed to highlight the natural beauty of its curves. Textile effects tailor the silhouette while contrasted structures gently dress and embrace without constraint, emphasise and sculpt in full comfort. Knitted on specially equipped looms designed to achieve alternate textures using soft microfibre yarns, this fabric is also highly versatile for size grading.

A new heavier fabric integrates the well-established line called Peau d'Ange, also known as Angel Skin. Like most fabrics of this line it is produced on fine gauge looms by selecting the softest innovative microfibre yarns. The unique technical features of stretch and modulus of this new fabric are said to provide superior fit together with a structure suitable for any requirement in lingerie and intimates.

They have been designed for youthful and refined underwear that can be shown with a hint of coquetry, introducing an intriguing crossover-concept between casualwear, streetwear and fitness.

Printed lingerie collection A/W 2015 - 2016

Piave Maitex lingerie printed collection A / W 2015-2016 finds its inspiration in the contrast between tradition, carrying the reassuring elegance of a past full of certainties, and revolution, with the exuberance of the design, the joy of life, colour and nature, the company reports.

The collection features following themes:

Luxury. Enter the refined English atmosphere of the nineteenth century – the materials are shiny satins with dark tones, aged motifs are printed with burgundy flock, brown, bronze, dark green, colours which rest on the fabric creating a fascinating game of surface effects. Laces and embroideries in contrast colour combinations, and patterns and ornamental decorations lead us into the world, where austere ladies wore elegant and sumptuous garments.

British Colours. The inspiration is still British, but the mood becomes international, full of warm colours and patterns that mix different cultures and suggest the image of women that love eccentricity and luxury, the contamination typical of the Bohèmien world.

Asian elements are combined with Moroccans, invariably crossing with the designs from the Bloomsbury and Charleston archives. The designs are geometric and abstract, colourful tones range from oil green, purple, aragost, to burnt and gold.

Adorable. This fresh theme carries the dream of the winter season, a portrait of nature and fable, a fantasy game going from Edith Holden to Beatrix Potter; the call of illustration obtained favouring pastel colours with dark accents and touches. Floral motifs, tie-like, small bouquets, flowers and embroidered micro laces alternate with prints that reflect the architecture of the knits.

Graphic. A modern theme that is inspired by pop art, expressionism, cubism, Picasso and David Hockney. The revolutionary art that brings happiness and optimism, creativity expressed through colourful graphic elements. Small graphic motifs are coloured with purple, fuchsia, royal blue and the ubiquitous black and white.
