Santoni, the leading seamless knitting machinery manufacturer, is offering an opportunity for young aspiring designers to join the second session of its Santoni Pioneer Programme that will run from 6 October – 6 December 2015 at Santoni Shanghai.

The company has announced the beginning of its training programme, which aims to connect young fashion talents globally with the Santoni’s knitwear technology and encourage fashion designers to push the boundaries of knitwear use.

The first session of the training programme concluded successfully in May this year with a graduation ceremony, where students presented their collections and received their graduation certificates.

Santoni Pioneer Programme

SPP is a biannual eight week fully sponsored knitwear programme, taking place at Santoni Shanghai. Offering individuals a nurturing environment that champions knitwear innovations, the programme aids applicants in establishing their professional feet within the knitwear industry.

It is designed to equip them with a deep understanding of Santoni knitwear technology and processes, as well as provide designers with a platform to connect with industry expert manufacturers and job opportunities.

Participants will be working in a team to achieve superior results, whilst collaborating with technicians to achieve creative and technically advanced knitwear designs. The final goal of students is creation of a four look capsule collection using skills obtained during the training programme.

Participants

The Pioneer Programme is best suited for applicants with previous knowledge of garment construction, yarn compositions and qualities, who are keen to develop their existing knitted garments knowledge, and gain invaluable experience of working with its leading knitting technology.

Since then the company has become synonymous with the “Seamless” phenomenon, becoming itself the world leader in the production of electronic knitting machines for garments without seams.

Today Santoni meets 97% of the worldwide demand for seamless machines, which are used in various sectors of the garment industry including underwear, sportswear, beachwear, outerwear and medical garments.
