Zegna Baruffa, the leading Italian yarn producer, presents lightness and freshness as the key features of its yarns for this season, designed to provide the utmost comfort and elegance.

Viscose becomes one of the main players and perfectly combines with cotton in yarns like Salvia (nm 2/100) and Acqua (nm 2/63) and with wool, in blends such as Bering (nm 2/60) and Crepe (nm 2/48), specifically treated to keep the body fresh.

As usual, the Baruffa collection includes its historical wool yarns, including classics like Cashwool or performance yarns like Holiday, with a natural unique elasticity, as well as Wellington, which, thanks to its waterproof treatment, makes it ideal for any use, the company says.

Chiavazza

Chiavazza has based its collection on fine natural fibres, introducing a very exclusive selection that features 2/28 woollen spun Cashmere and Babà – incomparable and timeless, they become the seasonless symbols of the brand.

Utmost sophistication is linen, very appealing and traditional, which becomes contemporary when combined with other fibres, including viscose (Gelsomino), ideal to produce light, performing and versatile pieces, cashmere (Origami) or extremely fine wool (Lavanda), in which the elegant composition creates wonderfully deep hues.

Botto Poala

Botto Poala presents a prestigious collection of worsted yarns, showcasing very valued compositions and extremely fine counts, perfect to knit impalpable pocket sweaters, which you can put in your pocket when you don’t need to wear them, the company reports. Pure (Alashan) or blended with silk (Gold), cashmere continues to be the starting point of a collection created in the sign of Botto Poala brand’s tradition.

Like a breath of fresh air, some new yarns arrive, developed using the summer fibre par-excellence – cotton. 5 Continents (NM 2/80 – 3/80) is a unique top quality yarn, which is soft, smooth and light. It embodies a combination of the properties of the best cottons from Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and North America.

Polar Cotton (2/64 – 2/100) combines a very particular selection of extremely long cotton fibres with a unique spinning system, which is said to create the highest evenness, minimize fuzz and enhance some unique properties, such as temperature control and body moisture evaporation. Summer Dream (NM 2/100 78% co, 14% se, 8% ws) was designed to provide tempting comfort of cotton combined with the sweetness of cashmere, the company reports.

The Colours

The card I Colori introduces some new colour tones for the season in three inspirational subjects.

Underwater dilutes the colours, lightening them and transforming them into inaudibly pigmented hues or exalts them, making them strongly saturated and bright, whilst the discoloured and greenish shimmers create metallic reverberations.

Brazilian Carnival represents dense and concrete colours, rich in light and energy, which illuminate one another through strong and stimulating contrasts. They are the happy and saturated tones of an elegant carnival, in which pure white and black, with graphic function, are often most welcome.

Future in the Past is about the creamy and sensual colours that produce soft and balanced contrasts, and warm and voluptuous shimmers – perfect to create opulent and extremely elegant combinations.
