Warp knitting and crochet machine builder Comez International, a Jakob Mueller company, has been recognized as a Manufacturing Leadership Awards winner for its achievements in the category Operational Excellence, in the USA.

“Adopting a flexible planning and programming system enabled us to meet the needs of our customers by ensuring high quality and on time delivery both of tailor-made and standard machines,” the company said in a statement. 

“This was an important achievement especially in view of the numerous difficulties of the last year.” Comez was recognized at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, which took place as a virtual event on 19 May 2021. “We are honoured to celebrate together this award,” the company said.

The Manufacturing Leadership Awards honour manufacturing companies and individual manufacturing leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Winning projects and individual manufacturing leaders have demonstrated achievement in one of a wide range of categories and are chosen by a panel of expert judges for results that have delivered clear and compelling value, return on investment, and other tangible outcomes.

There were several winners in each category, including one High Achiever’s Award in each project category, as well as a 2021 Manufacturer of the Year for both small and large enterprises. Also unveiled at the gala was the ML Awards Manufacturing Leader of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award winners.

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states.
