The UNGC is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere. Building on its environmental and social accountability, DyStar says it is pleased to take the pledge according to the ten principles of UNGC and adopt the globally recognized policy framework for the development, implementation, and disclosure of environmental, social, and governance policies and practices within the company with the objective of strengthening its commitment towards sustainability and establishing itself as a sustainability leader in the textile and chemical Industry.
"As a leading global supplier of dyes and chemicals to the textile and leather industries, DyStar not only has a long history of action to reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain but also recently issued its first corporate Sustainability Report prepared according to GRI principles," Dystar said in a statement today.
Signing the Letter of Commitment, Harry Dobrowolski, CEO/President of the DyStar Group said:
