Paris
This timeless axiom by Lavoisier serves as the guiding principle behind Iluna Group’s strategy, creative journey, and production ethos. As the spotlight turns to Interfilière Paris from January 18-20, 2025, Iluna Group invites visitors to discover its vision at Hall 3, Booth M80.
In a fashion world where creation feels increasingly elusive, transformation has emerged as the true art form. Federica Annovazzi, Creative Director of Iluna Group, encapsulates this ethos, stating: “Today, the true art, the real skill, lies in transforming what we already have - which is immense for those who know where and how to look and have invested in researching ingredients and process technologies. Change is always connected to an event, while transformation is always a process... a cultural, intellectual, and even productive process. Values are deeply interconnected.” This philosophy drives Iluna’s commitment to innovation through continuous transformation, offering fresh, conscious perspectives on creativity and sustainability.
Three moods, endless inspiration
For the upcoming summer season, Iluna Group has crafted three distinctive moods, each inspired by a profound narrative:
Simpleness
Amid the complexities of modern life, Iluna finds beauty in simplicity. This theme celebrates the essence of genuine relationships, self-reflection, and the small joys of life. Drawing inspiration from Ken Scott, famously dubbed “the gardener of fashion,” Iluna integrates the vibrancy of nature into its lace designs. Scott’s maximalist philosophy, with peonies, roses, and sunflowers adorning fabrics, comes alive in a celebration of abundant yet refined aesthetics.
Essences
Water, a timeless symbol of life and renewal, serves as the muse for this theme. Highlighting the fluidity and interconnectedness of nature, Iluna’s designs pay homage to Iris Van Herpen’s sensory and dynamic approach. This mood reflects the evolution and adaptability of the natural world, bringing forth innovative, fluid designs that intertwine body and mind, shaping a conscious and harmonious narrative.
Divine
This theme delves into the spiritual and aesthetic depths of Eastern flowers, whose dreamlike geometries convey sensuality and profound connection with nature. Inspired by Guo Pei’s artistic blend of Chinese imperial elegance, European royal opulence, and botanical elements, Iluna’s lace designs weave a story of timeless beauty and mystique.
A sustainability pioneer
As a trailblazer in sustainable practices, Iluna Group continues to lead with innovation and accountability. Since 2018, their Green Label range has been GRS-certified, underscoring their commitment to environmentally responsible production. From polymer to finished lace, Iluna ensures full traceability and control across its supply chain, leveraging tools like the Higgs Index to measure sustainability progress.
This dedication is reflected in impressive milestones. Sustainable production has surged from 3% in 2018 to over 50% by 2022. Over six years, Iluna has crafted 7.5 million meters of Green Label lace using 92,810 kg of GRS-certified recycled polyamide, saving 1.5 million litres of water. Recent innovations include customizable GRS Lurex nets, certified prints, organic cotton, FSC-certified mass-dyed viscose, and ROICA™ EF, a premium recycled elastomer from the ROICA™ Eco Smart family.
