The Switzerland based SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, the inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system, will showcase 12 applications with the company’s latest technology at the ITM 2016 trade fair for textile machinery that takes place from 1-4 June in Istanbul, Turkey.

After the successful introduction at ITMA in Milan, SSM will show its latest innovations for the first time in Turkey.

Special attention lays on the new XENO-platform with the enhanced DIGICONE 2 winding algorithm, enabling a 10-20% increase on dye package density with same dyeing recipe, according to the manufacturer. SSM Giudici will also present its new TG2 machine platform for air texturing and false-twist texturing.

Besides the presented applications, SSM also offers the new X-Series (PSX-W/D, PWX-W and TWX-W/D) for dye package winding/rewinding and assembly winding, as well as the well-known machines for air covering, draw winding, yarn singeing and conventional covering.

SSM AG

The Schärer, Schweiter and Mettler companies merged in 1989 to become SSM. In 1999, Stähle-Eltex and SSM merged to develop air texturing technology and to strengthen their leadership position in the marketplace.

With HACOBA as its partner, SSM is also able to offer a complete range of sewing thread finishing machines. The company can also offer a complete portfolio for processed yarns.

Since 2012, SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler has taken over the activities of Giudici, Italy. Giudici’s strong market position in the field of false twist texturing of high quality fine count Nylon yarns, an application that complements SSM’s established leadership in air texturing, will further expand SSM’s business in the chemical fibre processing industry, the company believes.
