The invention relates to a draw comb (11) for a rectilinear knitting machine that comprises at least one attachment sinker (13) including at least one hook (16) extending mainly in a vertical longitudinal plane (xz) in order to have a low thickness in the transverse direction (y), and including at least one stripper (23) mobile relative to the at least one attachment sinker (13) so as to extract a thread (9) from said at least one hook (26), characterised in that the at least one stripper (23) is mobile so as to be capable of translation in a direction that is substantially vertical (z) relative to said at least one attachment sinker (13).
