Abstract of RO121889

The invention relates to a bioimplant meant for the treatment of herniae and gastroenterological eventrations and to a process for producing the same. According to the invention, the gastroentrological bioimplant consists of a knitted textile carrier made of rotoset polyester filament yarns having a length denisty of 76...93 dtex/f24-32, in the knitting-derivative knitting structure, made with two yarn bar guides (B1, B2) with combined evolution, the structure thereof being defined by some specific pattern chains (L1, L2), at a ratio height of four or six rows and a solid pass with bar guides (B1, B2). The claimed process for producing the bioimplant consists in knitting the textile carrier, finishing the same by a series of washing/degreasing operations in a solution of 2...4 g/l polyglycol-ether, alternatively rinsing it with warm and cold water, neutralizing it in acetic acid having a concentration of 40...60%, extracting the oligomers in the methylene chloride for 4...5 hours, at a temperature of at least 40A C, disinfecting in 3% oxygenated water for 24 hours and drying in a hot air circulation drier for 6 hours, at a temperature of 100A C, then dividing it into pieces and sterilizing the same by irradiation with gamma rays Co60, the absorbed dosis being of 27.6+-1.8...37.5+-2.6 kGy.
