Economic efficiency and quality play a huge role in the production of knitted products and with the new prototype CMS 803 HP knit & wear, Stoll will be looking to offer a machine for the mass market, where production costs and Knit and Wear features have been given due consideration.

“The machine is exceptionally suited to all knitters who are under enormous cost pressures but still want to produce high-quality standard pullovers with classic cuts  - mainly plain goods with Raglan, straight set arms, saddle shoulders, or French shoulders,” Stoll’s Martin Legner told KnittingIndustry.com.

The CMS 803 HP knit & wear is said to offer the best economical and technical requirements for doing this and it is also suitable for knitting factories that want to reduce making-up efforts and expenditure or have to cover a wide range or making-up sizes.

In addition, the machine offers advantages for knitwear producers who run a hybrid operation – both Fully Fashion and Knit and Wear goods are possible as the machine can also be operated as a Multi Gauge machine and can therefore knit Multi Gauge products.

According to Stoll. the CMS 803 HP knit & wear is also economical. In its basic configuration, a detailed profitability analysis of the production costs of Knit and Wear goods is maintained in comparison to Fully Fashion goods, offering tangible cost benefits, the company reports.

Properties of the CMS 803 HP knit & wear

  • The machine has been equipped in a way that is extremely concentrated on actual Knit and Wear production
  • The CMS 803 HP knit & wear has three fully-fledged knitting systems with which economical and highly productive Knit and Wear knitting is possible
  • The needle bed geometry, the cam box and the holding-down jack control of the machine are designed based on Knit and Wear technology
  • The take-down systems of the CMS 803 HP knit & wear (take-down comb, auxiliary take-down and main take-down) are unlimited in their variability and adjustability.

Security and sustainability

Stoll also has quality in mind. In terms of robustness and service life, the CMS 803 HP knit & wear is in no way inferior to other well-known Stoll flat knitting machines, the company states categorically. Operation and maintenance are identical to all other Stoll machines, and therefore they are of the same standard.

Stoll also points out that the optional extension possibilities ensure even more ease in day-to-day knitting:

  • ASCON ensures stable knitted piece lengths, even when using the simplest yarns, resulting in a high-quality product with consistent measurements
  • The storage feed wheels especially prove themselves when it comes to high gauges and make difficult yarns easy to work with
  • The plating kit can be used for special functions or looks
  • The supplementary bobbin board and the additional bobbin holder can be used to create many colours and coloured patterns

Highlights of the CMS 803 HP knit & wear

Stoll points out the following machine highlights:

  • It is equipped with a needle bed length that is suited to approximately 90% of all making-up sizes
  • The cost structure of the CMS 803 knit & wear is attractive as the machine enables considerable savings in Fully Fashion production. Up to 20% of the production costs can be saved
  • The needle bed and latching technology of the CMS 803 HP knit & wear is versatile, as it can likewise be used for Fully Fashion production
  • The machine offers extremely high productivity and production stability
  • It has a long service life, is cost saving, economical and highly effective
