Q-NOVA recycled fibre by Italian yarns producer Fulgar, is being used by innovative French tights brand Gambettes Box, in a brand new ‘tights on subscription’ range.
“Tights, the fashion accessory loved and celebrated by women and men alike, now feature in an innovative sales system with tights ‘on subscription’ (€15.90 per week) delivered every month direct to your home. Feminine and elegant, they are by Gambettes Box, a prestigious French brand that was launched eight years ago in Paris and is now well established in the European market. Based on a sales model already familiar in the beauty sector, Gambettes offers two pairs of tights every month in a magic box,” Fulgar said in a press communication this morning.
The brand’s philosophy is to enable women to rediscover the pleasure of displaying their legs underneath skirts, dresses and pants. “The point isn’t to be sexy, but free – free to do what you want, wherever, however and whenever you want,” Gambettes Box explains.
Fulgar explains further: “Revolutionary when they were introduced, they have been designed by talented stylists like Diane Von Furstenberg, Inès de la Fressange and Courrèges. They can now embrace green ideals through the use of Q-NOVA recycled fibre by Fulgar, a polyamide made using regenerated raw materials through a mechanical, non-chemical process that makes the entire production cycle more sustainable, leading to lower CO2 emissions and reduced water use.”
The collaboration with Fulgar has inspired two elegant styles – a sheer style with pois pattern and a style with stylised floral motifs.

“A carefully thought-out ethical choice and the need to satisfy contemporary consumers who are increasingly well-informed and aware of the issues surrounding sustainability have led us to broaden our offer with ecological garments by choosing partners like Fulgar who operate through a sustainable production process,” says Sixtine Maroniez, Product Head for Gambettes Box.
“These sustainable products are something new, but they also reflect a long-term effort to make all our tights recyclable”.
“We’re proud that a brand with such an original and successful business model, as well as such high-quality products, has selected our green portfolio to create an eco-sustainable collections,” says Alan Garosi, marketing manager for Fulgar.
“For us it’s crucial to promote the value and importance of sustainability in the fashion industry to make companies increasingly aware of these issues and offer consumers products that are accessible, high quality and respect the environment.”
Gambettes Box declared war on pants with its first subscription tights box in 2012. Designed in Paris, made in Italy, subscribers receive two pairs of tights at a price of EUR 15.90 per month. Gambettes Box tights are available in France and twelve other European countries.
