Gildan supports FireAid concert relief

Company donates $200,000 worth of apparel to aid LA wildfire victims.

Gildan has pledged $200,000 worth of garments to FireAid, a benefit concert supporting those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, California. The donation includes shirts and hoodies, which will be sold at the event, with proceeds going towards immediate relief efforts and long-term fire prevention initiatives.

“At Gildan, we believe in making apparel responsibly and supporting the communities where we operate,” said Chuck Ward, President, Sales, Marketing and Distribution at Gildan. “Our hearts go out to those affected by the wildfires in Southern California, and we are pleased to contribute to the relief efforts through FireAid.”

FireAid took place on 30 January and featured two high-profile concert lineups at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The event was also be broadcast and streamed across multiple platforms, including select AMC Movie Theatres.
