Scottish heritage golfwear brand Glenmuir has created, for the first time in its 130-year history, a collection of Christmas jumpers – a perfect gift for any golfer hoping to get in to the festive spirit.
The collection includes two styles with complimenting jumpers for male and female golfers in each, one using the signature Glenmuir Tartan and the other inspired by the Scottish Fair Isles. The jumpers are Made in the UK and made from Italian spun merino wool. They will be launched in September 2018 exclusively online.
“After taking feedback from our customers, we believe there is a market for a premium priced Christmas golf sweater beautifully hand crafted using the skills and expertise of generations of expert wool makers,” the company explained.
“This craftsmanship is intrinsic within the product from the Italian spun merino wool blended yarn we are using all the way to the hand crafted full-fashioned workmanship required to knit and put the product together.”
“Glenmuir take the provenance, quality and durability of our products very seriously and making it here in the UK means we can control and guarantee this. We are delighted with the sweaters and believe they will resonate well with the Glenmuir customer who expects a luxurious well-made and beautiful piece of knitwear.”
Glenmuir was founded in 1891 in Lanark, Scotland, and continues to thrive in the birthplace of golf. Since its creation, the brand has been committed to creating high-quality knitwear.
The brand is retailed in luxury golf resorts in over 30 countries, including Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Australia, South Africa, Japan and Russia, and has provided the European Ryder Cup Team with shirts and knitwear for over 30 years. Glenmuir remains a family-run business dedicated to producing the finest golfwear.
