Fit+Form+Function wants to be the celebration of a historical partnership between The Lycra Company, Eurojersey and Marithé + Francois Girbaud, a testimony of the common commitment to a more sustainable fashion industry.

Focus of the project is the preview presentation during Fuorisalone 2024 in Milan of the Capsule collection by Marithé + Francois Girbaud made with Sensitive Fabrics powered by Lycra fibres. Unisex-manifesto garments inspired by the symbolic messages/icons of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: each garment represents a powerful piece, embodying a collective vision of a world in which fashion and sustainability can coexist.

Topics such as climate change, clean and affordable energy, gender equality and many others are tangibly represented as real tools to raise awareness and responsibility for a better future for our planet and future generations through retractable decorative labels adorning the garments.

The capsule collection by Marithé + Francois Girbaud, in Sensitive Fabrics powered by Lycra fibre, will be the protagonist of an unprecedented display in the Cloister of the Diocesan Museum during FuoriSalone 2024, from 16-21 April. An unmissable opportunity to immerse oneself in the universe of innovative and sustainable creativity, where aesthetics merge harmoniously with the latest fabric technology.

A tribute to sustainable innovation with the creation of quality, beautiful and long-lasting fashion garments.

It was as far back as 2004 when Girbaud debuted the Stretch-Express collection with Sensitive Fabrics, patented by Eurojersey, for the first time using technical stretch fabrics, initially intended for beachwear, to create a ready-to-wear clothing line.

Thanks to the strength and flexibility of Lycra fibre, which has a high content percentage in Sensitive Fabrics, the first outfits combining innovation and functionality were created combining innovation and functionality, allowing unprecedented freedom of movement, confirming themselves as the '24wear' fabrics.

Not surprisingly, Lycra fibre has been able to radically transform the paradigms of comfort and adaptability in clothing thanks to its exceptional elastic properties.
