BTSR International, a leading company in the development of innovative solutions for yarn control, told KnittingIndustry.com it is to focus on advanced and customized products, as it showcased its new Universal Tension Control System and other developments at ITMA Asia + CITME in Shanghai last month.

The Italian company will continue to develop into a niche company focussing on advanced products and on demand products with OEM partners. Its strategy is to become recognized as a technology partner for customized products.

Marketing & Sales Development Manager, Angelo Rizzo told KnittingIndustry.com: “BTSR already works with machine builders in the knitting, hosiery, yarn preparation and narrow fabrics industries and we even have applications in carpet weaving for shed control.”

Rizzo added: “In yarn preparation we are heavily involved in winding and rewinding and in knitting we have a growing market in large diameter circular knitting. So we already have many machine building partners with whom we will develop unique customized products.”

R&D oriented BTSR, which has a sales and technical support network in 30 countries, is pushing hard on innovation and at ITMA Asia + CITME it showed a number of new developments.

BTSR has combined its Ultrafeeder and Unico technologies to create a new concept it calls Universal Tension Control System. Unico is a tension control device designed for use in both circular knitting and hosiery, which when combined with the Ultrafeeder feeding device, gives positive yarn constant tension control with yarn storage and release capabilities.

The new combined system incorporates automatic compensation for sudden and high yarn absorption variations, adjustable knot catcher and multi-function graphic display. The main areas of application for the new integrated system are socks, seamless, flat and circular knitting using all kinds of yarns from bare elastane to high modulus yarns. BTSR claims unlimited hosiery knitting applications including background / pattern yarns, terry / half terry, toe and heel etc.

Yarn break sensors

IS3 F yarn break sensors are new generation bi-dimensional sensors which are fitted with a ceramic lens and the latest optical technology which allows yarn control with or without yarn lens contact ( self-cleaning and touch-less mode). IS3F is fully programmable, immune to environmental conditions and can be OEM assimilated.

BTSR’s Smart Matrix series are onboard programming and control units incorporating a new generation terminal with improved ergonomic design and functionality which easily facilitate and empower BTSR device programming, controlling and data reporting.
