New look Premiere Vision

In February 2010 Première Vision changes its look. In February 2010 Première Vision changes its look. From then on, the show will be an international city, a white city comprising small buildings, “white blocks”, some topped with a textile superstructure, which evoke an architectural style based on geometry, the essential and subtlety. In this new layout, the stands, like “white boxes”, highlight the exhibitors’ collections.

Why white? Because it is timeless. Because it is without reference to a particular region, it is at once neutral and dynamic. Because it allows emphasis to be placed on the explosion of colours, the subtlety of tones and the variation of materials.

Designer Eric Jourdan and set designer Francesca Avossa, who entirely rethought the design of the show, chose a unique white material for the fabric of the show : DuPont Corian. It is translucent: within the stand, meetings remain confidential, while from outside one can detect that activity is going on. A subtle game of light and shadows. This innovative product, developed by DuPont, will be used for the first time as an essential constituent of an exhibition stand. A world first!

Eco Colour and Extreme Sports, two new expert trails to follow

Launched last September, the Pluriel Expert Trails, which crisscross the six shows which make up Première Vision Pluriel, were an instant success with international buyers. Designed as actual buying guides, these trails should help buyers to prepare their collections, to better organize their sourcing and discover new suppliers. For the second edition they target two pertinent themes:

Eco Colour. It’s the end of the sad ecologist in ecru or beige! Today, clean colour is a reality and an indispensible ingredient in the fashion market. The “Eco Colour” trail will single out the companies which offer products dyed using non polluting colorants, natural vegetal dyes or undyed materials in their spring summer 11 collections.

Extreme Sports. These companies are constantly striving to create materials that improve comfort and performance during extreme sports. The “Extreme Sports” trail will reveal the exhibitors who offer high end technological products which push the boundaries of exceptional properties such as temperature regulation, breathability, water resistance, strength and stretch.

An exceptional creation by Jean-Paul Knott

A new look for the show. A new silhouette for the 120 hostesses who welcome international buyers to the show. For them, Jean-Paul Knott, a virtuoso in construction, has conceived a dress which joins noble fluidity with a contemporary relaxed attitude. The tunic dresses in floral, light and fruity tints, are cut from 100% silk from Sfate & Combier, flowing over the whiteness of jeans and bright T-shirts designed by Jean-Paul Knott in collaboration with the Japanese company Tomorrowland. They are liven up by coloured badges and are enriched by the ‘pillow bags’, also created by the Belgian designer. The collectors’ item bags in limited edition will also be available to visitors.
