The Source it procurement platform at Texprocess 2013 in Frankfurt am Main from 10 to 13 June offers a comprehensive overview of the world’s most important sourcing regions. For the first time this year, the focus of Source it is on national presentations with selected manufacturing companies and among the countries and regions represented will be Egypt, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, South America and Vietnam.

At the individual national presentations, trade visitors can find out about the situation in the local apparel industry with regard to technical expertise, customs regulations, infrastructure and other circumstances relevant to sourcing.

“Source it gives fashion labels an excellent opportunity to find out about the world’s sourcing hot spots without having to travel to the individual countries. A sourcing platform at a technology fair is a unique service, which combines the search for innovative machinery with the search for alternative production facilities,” says Ina Stoltze, Texprocess Director.

This year, Source it is being held for the first time in Hall 5.0, at the centre of the sewing and joining product groups. Also new is the ‘contact bourse’ in the Source it Lounge: visitors from the apparel industry registered there can look up which production companies or fashion labels are represented at Texprocess and make appointments with them.

During the run-up to the fair, visitors and exhibitors can once again make use of the i-tex online business portal, an apparel sourcing system that will go online at the end of April. This gives sourcing decision makers from the fashion industry the chance to set up a detailed search profiles that includes, for example, the products, technical expertise, standards, supplier countries required, and to obtain results specifying suitable production companies.

Around 300 exhibitors, including international market leaders, will be present at Texprocess. The product spectrum ranges from design and cutting, via sewing, joining, embroidery and knitting, to finishing, textile printing, IT and logistics.

Texprocess is held concurrently with Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens, which runs from 11 to 13 June. Around 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and around 25,000 visitors from 96 countries form the world’s leading marketing and sourcing platform for users and manufacturers of technical textiles and nonwovens, products that are distinguished by a virtually unlimited range of applications.
