Texworld USA 17th edition celebrated its largest show attendance to date welcoming 5,895 verified attendees from 22 countries to the triple show co-located event.

This year’s attendance represents an 11% increase in comparison to the July 2013 show. The event featured 436 exhibitors from 17 countries including Colombia, China, Taiwan, Turkey and the United States.

For the fifth consecutive year, buyers benefited from the co-location of Texworld USA, International Apparel Sourcing Show and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo providing access to the full spectrum of sourcing options for apparel fabrics, garment manufacturing and finished soft goods for the home.

Product quality

“The product quality showcased at the summer edition of Texworld USA has increased beyond expectations,” commented Dennis Smith, President of Messe Frankfurt North America.

“Our exhibitors from the main sourcing countries in the Far East and around the globe have really increased their level of quality. Premium quality exhibitors are on the increase as evident by the addition of several Italian exhibitors at the July show. We look forward to increasing a premium offering at Texworld USA in future editions”.

Lenzing Pavilion

Lenzing Innovation continued its long standing partnership with Messe Frankfurt. The Lenzing Pavilion featured 25 exhibitors and was a popular destination for visitors on the show floor. The complimentary seminar series, also organised by Lenzing, continues to gain favour with visitors as evident by this year’s attendance.

The July series featured 19 seminars over the 3 day event, attended by 1,685 total participants of which 912 were unique. This represents a 17% increase in total participants in comparison to July 2013. The sessions included a wide range of industry related topics including: garment production and manufacturing, colour direction and trends, global supply chain transparency, government textile regulations and global sourcing.

“Lenzing and our mill partners in the Lenzing Pavilion had an excellent show last week. There is a desire for innovation and fabrics with active aesthetics. Our Source Central America Lounge was busy as companies are seeking near sourcing alternatives. The seminar series, organized by Lenzing, was the most attended in the show’s history with a range of presentations on colour, trend, sourcing, sustainability, and emerging business,” commented Tricia Carey, Senior Merchandising Manager, Lenzing Fibers.

IMPULSE Trend Forum

In addition to the popular Texworld Trends for Fall/Winter 2015/2016 seminar presented by Texworld Art Directors, Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, the Trend Forum also drew crowds on the show floor.

This year’s theme titled IMPULSE covered four unique colour stories aptly described as: Spontaneous Attraction, Brutal Poetizing, Innocent Appropriation and Anonymous Quintessence, which forecasts the colour trends for the Fall/Winter 2015/2016 season.

Visitors were able to meet with Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud for a personal tour of the forum and view a juried collection of fabrics that were provided by exhibitors and could be sourced on the show floor. A limited number of visitors were also provided with a collectible Trend Book which provides detailed inspiration for each of the four colour stories.
