Culp, Inc., a leading supplier of bedding and upholstery fabrics, has announced a major strategic transformation to unify its operations under a single brand. The move follows the successful completion of key restructuring initiatives and aims to drive greater flexibility, efficiency, and customer responsiveness across the business.

The company will merge its two divisions, Culp Upholstery Fabrics and Culp Home Fashions, into one integrated business unit. As part of this transformation, Culp will close its leased upholstery fabrics facility in Burlington, North Carolina, and consolidate activities at its company-owned site in Stokesdale. The consolidation is expected to generate approximately $3 million in annual efficiency gains, adding to the $10–11 million in annualised savings from the company’s earlier cost restructuring plan.

Iv Culp, President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “As we executed on our restructuring project, it became apparent that combining our two core businesses would enable us to be more efficient and better serve our customers. A unified Culp organisation will be more agile and better positioned for future growth.”

The operational model will provide more supply chain flexibility and sourcing optionality across Culp’s manufacturing and sourcing locations in the US, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Vietnam, and China. According to the company, these advantages are increasingly important as customers seek alternatives in a shifting tariff and trade landscape.

Mary Beth Hunsberger, formerly President of Culp Upholstery Fabrics, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, while Tommy Bruno, formerly President of Culp Home Fashions, becomes Chief Commercial Officer. Together, they will lead the newly integrated organisation, which will continue to be headquartered in High Point, North Carolina.

Culp, Inc. says it remains committed to innovation and to building a more agile, creative, and forward-looking business as it enters the next phase of its evolution.
