Some European countries showed a positive movement following a couple of years of regress due to the market situation in Europe. This year the show received more visitors from France, Spain and The Netherlands.
The importance of South America has been a focus for many manufacturers and brands. This is also visible in the visitor figures with a raise of 11%. The countries represented were Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Honduras and Peru.
Certain geographical regions and countries such as Hong Kong, Thailand and Russia saw a decrease due to political tensions but in the overall there is a positive trend. The largest part of the visitors were coming from Mainland China, representing 76% of the total visitors.
Trend forum
The trend forum Movements focused on the intimates sector showcasing the latest fabrics and materials of the exhibitors. The trend forum showcased the Spring/Summer 2016 key trends.
The House Of Love project created by the talented lingerie designer Ying Fei Wang decorated the trend forum. The miniature rooms of a house illustrated the motivations and emotions of modern, young Chinese women. The themes were Pretty in my kitchen, Welcome to my garden and Baby Room.
The new initiative of Concepts Paris called Beach-o-logy has brought a new forum to Interfilière Shanghai, focused exclusively on beach fabrics and materials.

This edition also featured the two training workshops; one was focused more on the trends whilst the other one focused more on teambuilding.
The speakers, Edith Keller and Cecile Vivier, said the first edition was a great success with 27 participants from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy and United Kingdom. The feedback received was positive highlighting the efficiency of the training programmes.
