A call for speakers is being issued for the 93rd Textile Institute World Conference (TIWC) which will take place from October 7-10 2025 at the Porto Palácio Congress Hotel and Spa in Porto, Portugal.

Under the theme Fibre to Future – Transforming Fashion and Textiles through Sustainability and Digitalisation, the conference, which is sponsored by Portuguese textile chemicals leader Aquitex, aims to explore the significant changes reshaping the global fashion and textile industries through sustainability and digital innovation.

It will explore approaches to addressing sustainability challenges – from the environmental impact of textile production to the development of circular economies – and also showcase digital technologies for enhancing efficiency and transparency across the entire supply chain.

With insights from leading academics, industry experts and policymakers, the event will highlight actionable strategies for reducing environmental impact, minimising waste and embracing zero-carbon solutions in line with global sustainability goals.

With its broad and interdisciplinary scope, TIWC 2025 welcomes papers and presentations discussing the diverse topics around these key themes.

Abstract submissions should be made by February 28th and acceptance will be sent to speakers in May.

Submission abstracts should be submitted to: [email protected]
