Van de Velde's 2010 turnover up 7.3%
In 2010, organic turnover at Belgium headquartered luxury lingerie manufacturer Van de Velde grew by 7.3% from € 140.1 million to € 150.4 million. The growth figure is excluding retail turnover of Intimacy. In 2010, organic turnover at Belgium headquartered luxury lingerie manufacturer Van de Velde grew by 7.3% from € 140.1 million to € 150.4 million. The growth figure is excluding retail turnover of Intimacy. When Inimacy’s retail turnover is taken into account, Van de Velde’s consolidated turnover was € 166.2 million. Intimacy’s retail turnover was included as from May 2010. Results for the fiscal year 2010 will be announced on Friday 18 February.
For the full year 2010, Intimacy’s turnover is said to have amounted to $ 35.5 million, implying a growth of 27.5% versus the same period in 2009.
For Van de Velde (excluding Intimacy) indications regarding turnover for the first half of 2011 are said to be positive compared to the same period in 2010. Van de Velde says first indications for the second half of 2011 will only be available towards the end of February. The company says that efforts continue to be invested for future growth at Intimacy with three new openings planned during the first half of 2011.
