Åženol Åžankaya CEO of Turkish knit apparel specialist YeÅŸim Tekstil, has urged Turkish exporters to take advantage of improving economic conditions after being unanimously re-elected as chairman of the UludaÄŸ Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKÄ°B). The UHKÄ°B) comprises a total of five Turkish associations: the Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, the Textile Exporters’ Association, the Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association, the Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters’ Association and the Association of Exporters of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables.

Serving since 2006 as the chairman of UludaÄŸ Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKÄ°B), Åženol Åžankaya recently was re-elected as the chairman of UHKÄ°B and, following that, was elected to the post of coordinating chairman of UludaÄŸ Exporters’ Association (UÄ°B).

40 of 83 members of the association participated in the regular general assembly of UludaÄŸ Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKÄ°B).  At the election in which Åžankaya is said to have obtained the support of all members participating in the general assembly, he urged Turkish textile and clothing businesses to take advantage of improving economic conditions saying:

“The importance we have attached to fashion and design have offered us a great advantage in Europe after the crisis and now is the time to use this advantage in order to take the Turkish textile industry to the place it deserves in the world”.
