Premium, technical, and eco-conscious outdoor kidswear brand, Isbjörn of Sweden will add 46% recycled wool from Italy to its new Shaun Hoodie and Jumpsuit for Spring Summer 2022 season.
Shaun replaces Isbjörn’s Wooly range, which was first launched back in 2018, continuing the company’s green promise to use the most sustainable fabrics and manufacturing processes, only fine-tuning existing products to make them even more sustainable and durable.
Shaun is made from recycled wool manufactured by Milior in Prato, Italy which has a long tradition in the textile sector including fibre regeneration. The recycling process removes materials from the waste disposal process and saves water and chemicals. Shaun Hoodie and Jumpsuit are also OEKO-TEX approved.
The recycled wool and synthetic blend ensure Shaun provides comfortable thermal performance for active kids of all ages. The colour palette is also inspired by nature, including PineSilver, LunarBeam and PearlBlue.
“For young explorers looking for an adventure buddy, Shaun is there to provide sustainable warmth, whether worn alone or as a midlayer. Wool is a natural fibre, but it can also be labour-intensive during the production process. Using recycled wool will keep kids naturally comfortable during all outdoor activities, thanks to its high breathability and ability to react changes in body temperature, but it also helps to protect the precious planet they play on. Shaun is the friend all kids need to keep them safe, comfortable and protected,” comments Maria Frykman, Founder and CEO, Isbjörn of Sweden.
