ISPO Textrends awards for Unitex

ISPO Textrends awards follow the accolade of receiving the China National Green Factory Award.

The warp and circular knits manufacturer is reaping awards for its vision for a cleaner environment and reduced impact that the traditional textile industry has delivered to date. The company’s original idea of how textile manufacturing of the future should be, has now become a reality, Unitex says.

This year, Unitex was also awarded the China National Green Factory award, for the use of on-site solar and wind power. Investment in German, Italian and Japanese knitting machinery, combined with the use of brand ingredients, now allows Unitex to deliver the full package in terms of quality and reduction of impact on the environment.

‘Explore the Flow’ is the design direction for 2024, maintaining to the core, creativity, performance, and sustainability. From Body Flow, where high compression all-day freshness fabrics feature to Urban Flow, where knits mimic wovens and move up to create outer shells by using innovative PFC-free DWR.

The Pro Flow trend embraces high-impact sports activities where moisture management, cool touch, and quick drying ensure a high level of performance, not just for the garment, but for the participant too. Finally, Luxe Flow highlights the need for sustainability, performance, and a new luxury touch.

Performance ingredients deliver perfect thermal regulation for the winter sports sector through to all-embracing luxury for the anti-odour sector, and requirements for the intimate apparel sector, both fashion and active.

Unitex has offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou and its factory is in China’s Fujian province. The company has plans for an apparel design centre in Shanghai to open early next year, so that it can offer a vertical option to its customers - from fibre through to finished garment - and be more efficient in logistics and production. Unitex’ factory is said to be state-of-the art, with solar and wind power.

Its accreditations include ZDHC, Higgs, Oeko-Tex, ISO9061 and GRS and use quality brand ingredients including, Hyosung, creora, Lycra, HEIQ with a global brands customer base.

Unitex will be exhibiting at ISPO Munich in Hall C2, Booth 211.
