A prominent delegation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers is preparing to showcase their latest technologies at Techtextil North America 2025, set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from 6–8 May. The initiative is organised by ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency.

A total of 21 ACIMIT member companies will exhibit within a dedicated Italian pavilion, underlining Italy’s continued commitment to innovation in technical textiles and nonwovens. Participating companies include 4M Plants, Bianco, Bonino, Color Service, Fadis, Flainox, Ima, Marzoli, Monti Antonio, Monti-Mac, Omr, Ramatex, Ramina, Reggiani Macchine, Siltex, Simet, Stalam, Tecnorama, Unitech, Zanfrini, and Zappa.

The United States remains a key market for Italian textile machinery, ranking as the fourth largest destination for exports after China, Turkey, and India. In 2024, exports from Italy to the U.S. totalled €112 million, showing stability despite a global economic slowdown.

“The 2025 edition of Techtextil North America comes at a time of economic uncertainty for the global textile machinery industry,” said ACIMIT President Marco Salvadè. “However, the increased number of Italian companies attending the fair reflects a cautious optimism regarding the development of projects within the U.S. textile sector.”

With annual sales exceeding USD 64 billion and a workforce of more than 500,000, the U.S. textile industry is one of the most technologically advanced globally, importing nearly USD 1 billion worth of machinery in 2024. Italian manufacturers continue to see strong opportunity in supplying innovative solutions to support this demand.
