Description
The Advanced Textiles Research Group of the School of Art and Design is looking for highly motivated individual with sound knowledge on modern computerised flat-bed knitting technologies.
Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach are essential as you will be required to be adaptable, and work effectively in a changing environment, and involved in the development of knitted technical textiles.
You will be required to undertake the programming, maintenance and basic repair of computerised Stoll and Shima Seiki knitting machines and manufacture three dimensional seamless products.
In order to support staff and students within the School of Art and Design an awareness of other textile digital technologies would be an advantage.
We expect that you possess a desire and ability to keep your skills and expertise up to date as well as a willingness to support our research and new learning activities.
