Fulgar, a leading Italian producer of high-quality man-made yarns, has announced the participation of Daniela Antunes, Textile Sustainability Expert and Marketing Manager at Fulgar, in two conferences scheduled at Munich Fabric Start in Monaco, one of the key events for the textiles and fashion industry.

As one of the most cutting-edge players in sustainable yarns and a strong advocate for a transparent and increasingly circular supply chain, Fulgar combines its legacy of textile excellence with a forward-thinking vision and continuous investments in research and development.

Representing the company’s latest innovations at the Bavarian trade fair for yarns and fabrics, Daniela Antunes will take part in the roundtable discussions at The Stage Keyhouse in Hall 7 on both days of the event.

- The first panel, ‘Closing the Loop for Polyamide/Nylon 6 With Loopamid: In Conversation with BASF and Fulgar,’ will take place on January 21 at 3:30 pm.

- The second panel, ‘From Waste to Resource: Building a Circular Future for Textiles. Innovating Circularity Through Technology, Recycling, and Sustainable Solutions,’ will be held on January 22 at 1:30 pm.

Two key moments of discussion among industry players to explore innovative strategies guiding the textile sector towards an increasingly circular model, the talks will delve into two projects developed in collaboration with BASF: Loopamid, a cutting-edge solution for textile-to-textile (T2T) recycling of end-of-life textile products, and the innovative Q-Cycle yarn, created using advanced technologies and an intelligent approach to managing hard-to-dispose waste, such as tyres.

Antunes will specifically present both projects and highlight Fulgar’s role in shaping the future of the textile and fashion supply chain, showcasing its contributions to innovation and sustainability. This ambitious goal has been at the core of Fulgar’s vision for over a decade, ever since the company launched a forward-thinking sustainability program.

The initiative includes the continuous expansion of a sustainable product portfolio, featuring standout yarns such as the regenerated Q-Nova, the bio-based Evo and Q-Geo, and the previously mentioned Q-Cycle - a revolutionary polyamide made from the recycling of highly polluting post-consumer materials like discarded tyres. Q-Cycle reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 50% while maintaining the same functional and aesthetic benefits as virgin polyamide 6.6 and is 100% traceable through Textile Exchange certification.

"Participating in the Monaco trade fair is a unique opportunity to engage with key industry players and share our innovative projects and vision for the future of the textile supply chain. Innovation and sustainability are reshaping the textile industry, and Fulgar is at the forefront of this transformation with its commitment, concrete solutions, and advanced technologies that we are confident can make a real difference." Concludes Daniela Antunes.
