YeÅŸim awarded for T-shirt innovation

Turkey’s leading knitted garments manufacturer YeÅŸim Tekstil received Gold and Honor Image awards in this year’s USA based SGIA Specialty Printing and Imaging Fair for its innovative T-shirts.

Turkey’s leading knitted garments manufacturer YeÅŸim Tekstil received Gold and Honor Image awards in this year’s USA based SGIA Specialty Printing and Imaging Fair for its innovative T-shirts.

YeÅŸim, which produces for famous global brands, was awarded for its success with Gold and Honor Image awards in an international platform for innovative T-shirts printed with state of the art printing technology which the company developed.

YeÅŸim entered to the contest in the Special Effects – Textile category with two 3D T-shirts – the products entered into the contest were entitled Face and Jack the Parrot. YeÅŸim was awarded in the category of Single Multicolor Entries. The contest had 50 categories and there were 3 other contestants in the category where YeÅŸim competed.

Åženol Åžankaya, CEO of YeÅŸim said that his company “was proud to see that YeÅŸim’s printed products are receiving worldwide acknowledgement and that the sector follows YeÅŸim’s innovative work.”

Åžankaya added that, “YeÅŸim closely follows technological innovations in the sector and continuously develops itself to meet the demands of customers and the company is headed towards especially to high value added fashion products to stay competitive.”

Åžankaya expressed that, “in recent years various printing techniques became a trend in fashion and YeÅŸim applies these techniques and presents customers special choices accordingly.”

“Companies need to be open to innovations to stay competitive and need to position themselves in line with new conditions and YeÅŸim Tekstil closely fallows new trends and gives utmost importance to continuous innovation and development, “Åžankaya said.

YeÅŸim Tekstil employs around 3000 people in its garment and home textiles production facilities and is based in Bursa in northwest Turkey. The company has a daily production capacity of 55 tons of knitted products, 70 tons dyed, 100,000 meters of printed fabric, 150,000 garments and 60,000 home textile products.

As well as being one of the four largest fully integrated yarn-to-finished-product facilities under one roof in the garment sector anywhere in the world, the company is also one of Turkey’s largest firms in terms of creating employment. Apart from its main production facilities in Turkey, the company has in recent years subcontracted to companies in countries such as Moldova and Egypt as well as numerous such facilities manufacturing within Turkey.

At the company’s YeÅŸim Tekstil Örme knitting division it employs 285 personnel working in a 4000 square meter production area, with a plant of 142 circular knitting machines, 24 flat knit accessory machines, yarn winding machines and fabric cutting machines.
