Not only has the Lonati closed all its Group companies including Alfa Acciai, Lonati, Santoni and Dinema, but it has also donated more than EUR 200,000 to support healthcare facilities and activities in the Brescia and Milan areas, which have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lonati and Stabiumi families, through their Alfa Acciai company, have donated EUR 200.000,00 to Fondazione Spedali Civili of Brescia for the purchase of respiratory devices to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Lonati S.p.A. has also donated EUR 20,000 to AiutAMOBrescia, and Scalo Milano Outlet & More, a Lonati Group company, has donated EUR 50,000 to the Ospedale Sacco in Milan.

In addition, because of the lack of available hospital beds in the region, Fondazione Adele e Cav. Francesco Lonati, a Lonati family charity, together with Korian, has made available ten single rooms at the RSA Vittoria hotel to help Ospedale Civile in this emergency and gifted the paediatric emergency department with every120 FFP3 protective masks that it could find.

“Through this little contribution, Lonati Group wants to perform a specific act towards Brescia and Milan, which the group is indissolubly linked to and which have been badly affected by the outbreak of the epidemic,” Lonati said in a press statement today.

“Lonati Group is close to those who are suffering because of the new coronavirus and really wants to thank all the sanitary facilities and medical staff who are fighting on the front line this epidemic.”

Production of seamless masks for the COVID-19 effort

It is worth mentioning that the circular seamless technology, which Lonati Group is a worldwide leader in through its Santoni brand, is allowing many of its customers to produce protective masks useful for everyday life, which are actually compensating the lack of these devices on the market, Lonati explains.

Lonati emphasises that the masks are not medical supplies, but that they constitute a valid alternative to protect oneself when it comes to going outside.
