When Google was searching for a ‘thank you’ gift for its partners and employees, the internet giant came across Kingly – a promotional apparel and merchandise brand specialising in sustainable production in Sofia, Bulgaria, with sales offices in New York and London.

For one particular order via an agency, Kingly produced 34,000 pairs of upcycled socks for Google, resulting in the conservation of 24 million litres of water.

The production run also reduced energy consumption of 90,168 kWh of electricity and avoided the use of a calculated 1,826 kg of pollutants

Kingly employed an upcycling process in which yarns are mechanically recovered and re-knitted without needing to be re-dyed, topping every benefit of recycled textile yarn.

“The success of this order was, if we needed it, real proof that our policy of sustainability really does pay environmental dividends,” said Zhanina Lazarova, Kingly’s community manager. “The outcome of our collaboration with the global giant was a happy client that kept coming back for more. And this is what we do best – our attention to detail and rigorous quality control mean that  our customers are satisfied with the quality and sustainability of our apparel and our competitive prices. The popularity of these promotional products with the end user is further proof of benefit.

“We believe that the most important part of our business is creating an unbreakable trust with our customers. They know they can count on us to deliver promotional merchandise beyond their expectations in record time – all underpinned by responsibly sourced raw materials, compostable packaging and carefully researched sustainable methods of production.”

Kingly is the only branded apparel producer in the promotional marketing world accredited by the sustainability platform BCOME Cradle-To-Grave.

In addition, its selection of sustainable products backed up SMETA PILLAR 4, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and GRS.  All yarns and materials used in the production of apparel use Oeko-Tex certified materials.
