Miffy, the iconic bunny character created by Dutch graphic artist Dick Bruna, stars in a new limited edition men’s knitwear and accessories range now available instore at Selfridges London and Browns Fashion. The collection has been created by BYBORRE – an Amsterdam-based textile innovation company committed to designing and manufacturing responsibly sourced knitwear.

Dick Bruna’s illustrative style – recognised worldwide – captures the essence of a character or story with just a few lines and a small range of colours. BYBORRE has mirrored this style, producing a capsule collection of refined menswear where the simple designs play with the scale of Bruna’s artwork; some garments feature large scale linework, others feature smaller repeat patterns, some just feature subtle imprints of Miffy’s iconic silhouette. The palette of colours, like Bruna’s, is limited.

The collection spans men’s staples such as a suit jacket, trousers and button tee, as well as key pieces that have featured in previous BYBORRE limited edition ranges but have evolved here - including an open back vest, layer shirt and an A-type jacket.

The range also includes lifestyle accessories comprising a versatile everyday bag, a large woven blanket, a FIDLOCK equipped key cord and a classic 5-Panel cap.

BYBORRE is an Amsterdam based textile innovation studio working on the frontiers of material development, engineering functional performance and aesthetics in knitted textiles. Through direct interaction with its circular knitting machines, it provides full creative freedom to play with patterns, colours, and textures within its textiles.

BYBORRE is devoted to bringing this power of bespoke textile creation to the hands of every creator that uses, or wants to use, textile as part of their process. It provides a safe environment where creators have creative freedom and control over the impact of their textile. It has carefully selected design options such as responsible yarns and functional knit structures, for others to play and craft their own textile with. BYBORRE’s Create tool allows designers, artists and all other creators to use its innovative and responsible textile creation processes and building blocks, all the while putting their own stamp on things; there’s no limit to what the final fabrics can look like or the potential uses. These design options are all proven to work and safe to use because BYBORRE have verified every step in the process and can provide full transparency on their origin.
