Swimwear/Beachwear

Eurojersey, the producer of Made in Italy warp knitted Sensitive Fabrics, and Warp Knit Seamless specialist Cifra, have collaborated to develop a brand-new product range to the world of beachwear. The two leading Italian companies are introducing Hi-Tech Crochet, a concept that combines the performance and uniqueness of WKS technology with the unmistakable style of Sensitive Fabrics.

It combines two products of excellence, two unique workmanships, and two top Italian companies in their fields - Cesare Citterio

Hi-Tech Crochet is swimwear designed in two layers - the first, soft and enveloping on the skin, thanks to the qualities of Sensitive Fabrics, the second, a seamless 3D jacquard fabric. The combination is said to “give depth and two-dimensionality to the garment, almost a work of art in perfect balance between solids and voids, between highlights and transparencies, between harmonies and contrasts.”

"I am very proud of this new project," emphasises Cesare Citterio, CEO of Cifra. "It combines two products of excellence, two unique workmanships, and two top Italian companies in their fields. We wanted to create something truly new in a segment, that of swimwear, which increasingly demands fashion and function, and which often offers collections that are not very creative and not very functional. I am sure our sports-derived technology applied to swimwear and Sensitive Fabrics will be appreciated".

Matteo Cecchi, sales director of Eurojersey, comments: "It is a pleasure to collaborate with Cifra. For Eurojersey it is a way of transforming our product from the active world to the beachwear sector as a new expression of an aesthetic value associated with the functionality and performance of our Sensitive Fabrics. An interesting concept as a market proposition for an increasingly dynamic and innovation-seeking clientele”.

Tailor-made, sustainable, inclusive, limitless

According to the collaborators, Hi Tech Crochet is a design that lends itself to all kinds of customisation, on the garment pattern, on the first and second level - without size limits.

“Every aspect, every detail, can be studied exclusively. Not only that. Thanks to Body Mapping technology, differentiated zones can be created on the garment, without transition seams, both in terms of design and function, combining aesthetics and performance. WKS technology reduces, indeed cuts, processing waste by 30% compared to traditional cut & sewn and Cifra, one of the textile pioneers, uses mostly post-consumer recycled yarns in favour of a circular textile certified STeP by OEKO-TEX, Sustainable Textile,” the partners say.

Sensitive Fabrics by Eurojersey

Ideal for the Beachwear sector, Sensitive Fabrics are high-performing fabrics, which deliver 50+ sun protection, breathability and quick-drying properties. In addition, Eurojersey says, they are resistant to the effects of chlorinated water, sunscreen and heat, ten times greater than other fabrics.

“As impalpable as a second skin, they offer breathability, freshness and lightness. Delicate and super comfortable, they are known for their patented textile construction with three-dimensional elasticity and their tested shape and colour retention. They are the result of innovative technology for making versatile and long-lasting swimwear,” the company concludes.
