The upcoming edition of Pitti Immagine Filati 94 will take place at the Fortezza Da Basso, in Florence, from 24-26 January 2024, when the event will solidify its position as the global reference for discovering knitwear yarn trends.
Pitti Filati 94 will showcase the Spring/Summer 2025 collections of the most important Italian and foreign spinning mills, tomorrow's trends in the new Spazio Ricerca curated as always by Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller, and new proposals from the special areas Knitclub and CustomEasy. The fair's calendar is enriched by special events and collaborations, making it a three-day event that should not be missed.
The Italian Government and the ICE - Italian Foreign Trade Promotion and Internationalization Agency which works for Italian companies promote Florence’s role in Italian fashion’s internationalization strategy by supporting the 2024 Pitti Immagine fairs. An essential contribution to the program of incoming delegations of top foreign members of the trade, the promotion and special events.
“Thanks to this collaboration, we can invest valuable resources in inviting buyers from emerging markets, both those we identify as potential new clients for high-quality Made in Italy products, and those who are already becoming important for our national exhibitors. For this activity, we have worked with the staff of ICE Agency offices abroad, always finding expertise and in-depth knowledge of the respective distribution and consumption contexts, crucial elements for serious planning,” Agostino Poletto, General Manager of Pitti Immagine
Milestone: The New Spazio Ricerca
Milestone is the title of the new Spazio Ricerca, curated as in every edition by Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller. The stone that since Roman times marks the distance between one mile and another on public roads: an invitation to a journey marked by intermediate stages seen as milestones of beauty and wonder.
An invitation to experience time at a different pace, giving it a different weight. A journey through time and space to grasp and savour the extraordinary nature of our planet, which goes beyond any imagination. Even the artificial. The three chromatic and tactile themes are Fluid, a thermal excursion from cold to warm; Tactile, vibrant, and touch-related, which allows understanding and perception; and concrete, the third, sophisticated and mineral.
Among this edition's special events and collaborations is the D-house project, which returns as an urban laboratory where the sustainable future of the fashion, design, and automotive sectors is shaped through research projects, events, and training courses. The CustomEasy section, which includes the Fashion at Work area since the last edition, delves into the various aspects of customization and offers the visitor an increasingly broad, contemporary, and fluid exhibition path where different textile competencies integrate.
Finally, the collaboration with Vintage Selection returns: the reference show for vintage enthusiasts reopens its doors to the public and will take place from Wednesday, January 24 to Sunday, January 28, inside the Salone M of the Fortezza Da Basso.
