Pontetorto, the Prato-based warp knitting company, which has been active in the production of fashion and sports fabrics since 1952, has fine-tuned an ambitious project involving every single production process to achieve ISO14001 certification.

This standard is internationally recognized as a reference for environmental management systems in favour of environmental protection, attention to the consumption of renewable resources and the management of waste and atmospheric emissions.

The environmental know-how placed in this certification goes through every stage of the value chain and attests to a commitment consolidated over the years and begun in 1952 with the first circular textile economy system in the regeneration of natural fibres - to this day, a central theme in the Italian textiles supply chain, the company says.
