Heimtextil, the world's leading trade fair for home and contract textiles and textile design, has opened its doors with a resounding presence of over 3000 exhibitors from 65 countries. This year’s event marks a milestone with steady growth, reinforcing its pivotal role as a global platform for the industry.

The exhibition opened with renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola unveiling her immersive installation 'Among-us', underscoring the event’s commitment to showcasing cutting-edge textile innovations.

Patricia Urquiola’s visionary installation

At the heart of Heimtextil 2025, Patricia Urquiola’s Among-us installation in Hall 12.0 captivates visitors with its forward-thinking design concepts tailored for retail and hospitality. Featuring collaborative works with esteemed partners like Kettal, Moroso, cc-tapis, Aquafil, and Cimento, Urquiola’s creations blend traditional craftsmanship with futuristic textile applications. The installation showcases a blend of physical and virtual environments, demonstrating the transformative potential of textiles in spatial design.

"'Among-us' celebrates the convergence of textiles and technology," explained Urquiola. "It explores new dimensions in design, integrating virtual and physical realms to redefine spatial interactions."

 A global showcase of textile excellence

Spanning 16 expansive halls, Heimtextil 2025 offers an unparalleled array of products, from upholstery fabrics to bedding solutions, reflecting the industry’s latest trends and innovations. The Carpets & Rugs segment has notably expanded, underscoring Heimtextil’s status as the epicentre of the global carpet industry.

Curated by Milan-based design platform Alcova, the Heimtextil Trends 25/26 illuminate sustainable solutions and pioneering design directions. The Trend Arena in Hall 3.0 serves as a visual spectacle, highlighting material innovations and colour trends shaping the future of textiles.

Empowering industry innovation and collaboration

Beyond product showcases, Heimtextil 2025 hosts a comprehensive content program addressing pivotal topics such as sustainability, AI in retail, and enhancing customer experiences. The Retail Stage in Hall 12.1 and the Texpertise Stage in Hall 4.0 serve as hubs for knowledge exchange, catering to diverse stakeholders including retailers, designers, and architects.

Heimtextil 2025 continues until January 17, offering industry professionals and enthusiasts alike an unrivalled platform to explore, engage, and innovate within the dynamic world of textiles.
